FILLED — CONSIGNMENT SHOP SUPERVISOR – PART-TIME
Dynamic, fashion-forward person needed to supervise and grow St. Stephen’s Consignment Shop
We are seeking a positive, motivated individual for our recently revamped consignment shop, which offers quality consignment items to raise funds for good works. The right candidate loves people, is sincere, friendly and well-organized.
Retail experience, POS and computer skills a must. Spanish a plus.

ABOUT ST. STEPHEN’S CONSIGNMENT SHOP
St. Stephen’s Consignment Shop has helped people dress well, save money, repurpose their unwanted goods, and help others in their community for 40 years. Recently renovated, the Shop now offers new visual merchandising displays and ConsignPro software. Consignors receive 50% of their item’s selling price, while proceeds from the Shop support the church’s local and global outreach missions and subsidize facility cost for local community groups.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
• Consistently provides an exceptional customer and consignor experience, promoting the missional directive, maximizing sales and supporting the daily shop operations
• Coordinates scheduling and coaches volunteers on shop operations and client experience to increase transactions, capture missional opportunities and build a loyal client base
• Manages consignor and donor relations, setting and managing consignment appointments, and preparing unwanted merchandise for designated non-profits or disposing appropriately
• Ensures that all paperwork is completed in an accurate and timely manner, including cash management, sales reports, cash audits and other paperwork as required
• Directs/executes merchandise presentation, recovers store, and maintains a clean store environment
• Oversees loss prevention
• Promotes and participates in continuous improvement initiatives in concert with church leaders
• Understands the culture and ensures compliance with all values and behaviors, as well as store operational standards
IDEAL CANDIDATE
• You have a keen sense of value and the ability to evaluate consignments
• You have an eye for fashion and relate to those who love the hunt for a good deal
• Skilled in retail POS systems, Ebay, Craiglist, social media tools and Microsoft Office Suite
• You establish and maintain strong collaborative work relationships with internal and external parties.
• Able to lift 25lbs onto shelving at head height
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• 3 or more years of retail experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of retail operations management, including visual merchandising standards and techniques; ability to use cash registers, electronic payment processing, and make change accurately
• Oral and written proficiency in English, with oral proficiency in Spanish
Successful completion of background checks required upon hire.
This is part-time hourly wage position with no benefit. Wage dependent upon experience.
