We are members of the Episcopal Church in the United States of America, a 3-million member Church headquartered in New York City. We are a daughter Church of the historic Church of England, and as such are members of the worldwide Anglican Communion. 2. What do Episcopalians believe? The humorist Robin Williams, himself an Episcopalian, once said, No matter what you believe, there is bound to be at least one other Episcopalian who agrees with you. It is really not that bad the Episcopal Church is not a confessional church like some Protestant Churches we do not have a statement of belief that everyone must agree to before becoming a member but there is an irreducible minimum to our belief the Nicene Creed. 3. What kinds of ministers are there in the Episcopal Church? The ministers of the Church are lay people, Bishops, Priests and Deacons. All ministers bear witness to Christ and share in the work and worship of the Church according to the gifts given to them. 4. I am a _____. Can I worship at St. Stephens? Anyone can join us at St. Stephens for public worship. If you want to receive Communion at the Eucharist, you must be a baptized Christian (of any denomination). 5.
